Re: Save 10% at my Gn15/G9 store. OFFER EXTENDED!

OZARK offers various suitable hinges. # 4073 operates and can be modified to fit the purpose: https://s25.postimg.org/dedwc4zgv/ST13.jpg (Note, the hinges in this case are used for the tool box of a 7 / 8ths scale model It houses the Deltang RC receiver) Problem with the boxcar design is, the hinges...

Got this whitemetal kit from Wolgograd, Russia. Took 10 days to deliver, but the postage was free and the local tax office waved it (together with 3 more) trough. https://s25.postimg.org/o7tlewszz/Sam.jpg You can sometimes find these steampunk ladies at Ebay. I think, Rue d´Etropal mentioned these Pin Ups a year or two ago. He announced, he´d use them for a loco he was building. I don´t know, if he ever did.

Re: Save 10% at my Gn15/G9 store. Limited offer!

Thanks for the picture with the Carlo Spirito figure. The goods wagon indeed looks tiny. 78 mm long, 38mm wide, 62mm high (plus chassis. Almost HO dimensions. Too small for my Gn15 purposes. Have a look at Smallbrook Studios Gn15 offerings. Locos are 45 mm wide, the Decauville inspection car for fou...

Re: Save 10% at my Gn15/G9 store. Limited offer!

Discount always sounds good. But I would love to know the model modensions of these offers. Even more, I´d like to see them built and photographed along with Gn15 models from other makers plus some scale figures, to get an idea of the actual model dimensions. The above samples seem to be extremely n...

Re: Chinese coal mine stock

If I am informed right, these pictures are not from China, but from Taiwan. A 600mm gauge coal mine, now closed. In case you plan to offer something in Gn15, it might make sense, to buy and build the kit of a suitable loco, offered by Tom A. Yorke,(USA), to get an idea of possible dimensions. https:...

Can we please see this waggon with a few passengers? Children?

I assume, they will be sitting one after eacher other.

Re: Clarabel has a new (laser-cut) dress

Coach is approx. 8' 6" by 42" wide.

That scales out to approx. 108 by 48 mm for the model.
Figures sitting oppsite need approx 70 mm, so the coach is too short
for 2 populated compartement.

Re: Clarabel has a new (laser-cut) dress

How about some dimensions of the box. How many passenger will it hold?
2 compartements should be enough room for 8 seated passengers.

Two in each compartement will have no window to look out.

Would he be more likely to mean that the edge of the wheelset base should start 16mm out from each end?

That´s the way to fix them. 16mm from the edge of the base, before buffer beams are fixed. The distance between axle centres will be 40mm.

Re: The Little Big Oak RR

You forgot to mention, they do not cost very much. So what do you expect. They scale out to about 1 : 27 - 1 : 29. Your stiff Bachmann driver figure comes in 1 : 20,3, so it is very much larger. Gn15 is modelled in 1 : 24 most of the time. Plenty of figures in that scale are available on the market....

I don´t know, if the Kellys everr robbed 15 Inch trains. Some of the police troups came by train, if I remember right. The film with Mick Jaggar from 1970 was not too successful at the theatres: http://suche.aol.de/aol/image?q=Ned+Kelly+Mick+Jagger&v_t=keyword_rollover Have Fun Juergen

Re: Longstone 2

The smallbrook Decauvilles have a footprint of 75 x 50mm, so in real life, less than 4 x 6 feet to seat 4 passengers, About the space you have in a touristplane. Maybe even less. One has to spend quite a bit of effort and money to populate these waggons with passengers. One reason more, not to hide ...

Those Smallbrook Decauville coaches look very convincing.

To lower the height, by shortening the windows, sounds like a very good idea.
