Amalgamated Munitions and Particle Beam Weapons

I've become taken with micro layouts. There. I said it. The weight is lifted :D . Heresies at present include an N gauge "plank", and an HOf cake box. There was talk on NGRM Online of a lovely laser cut box containing clementines to be found in Aldi which would make the base of a very smal...

Re: Estate Update

That is an odd one, Bill. The assumption would be that a fixed wire, in a non moving location wouldn't break. This being railway modelling, however...

At least you were able to track it down without having the stress of the public gaze on you as well :D .

Re: Currently un-named scrapyard

I'm sorry to announce that this project has been scrapped (see what I did there?) as there's too much else to be getting on with, and I was never too happy with it to begin with. Bah.

Re: Estate Update

That IS good news Bill. Intermittent faults like that will always show themselves at the most inopportune moment - there's probably a thesis in there somewhere :D

I'm thinking about this too - it would work nicely as a 3" gauge model engineering or park line :D

Like I've nothing to do...

Re: Currently un-named scrapyard

Thanks Peter.

I've a lot of scrap OO wagon bodies - bought broken etc from "under the table" boxes at shows for donor Gn15 chassis which can be Dremel-ised and used, but charity shop toy boxes etc will be taking a good hit as well :)

You'll be lucky to find any rivet counters on here :D

Nothing to apologise for with either model, either

Re: Currently un-named scrapyard

Thanks Christian - good to see another Gnine modeller. The original pizza looked like this: https://live.staticflickr.com/1925/44098465665_444412e45f_c.jpg DSCF1980 by lesmond2009 , on Flickr and after many, many misadventures now looks like this: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/47898290571_df3f...

Currently un-named scrapyard

GNine seems to have worked for me. When I say the "G scale on 9mm track? Are you mad?" heading to this section, it was "challenge accepted" and has mostly gone from there. So far "Road Runner" and "Charlie the Choo Choo" have come about and worked well enough,...

Re: Pepper 7 - Steve Bennett - Howard Martin - announcement

I had a good chat with Howard at Narrow Gauge North yesterday, and also bought some long sought bits of Steve's from him.

Steve apparently is a lot better, very glad to be away from the "business" end of the operation, and casting 6 - 7 hours a day.

Very good news indeed.

That's a lovely thing Andi.

Very substantial, yet compact and portable. I'd not thought of bed slats or M6 sized bolts tbh.

Thanks for this :)

Re: Huge tools (sorry)

This one has been asleep for longer than it really ought to have been, but there has been progress on other fronts. The plan all along has for the three baseboards to mount on to four trestles, and up to very recently I've been struggling to come up with a suitable design (to be fair I've not given ...
