nice find. lots of good ideas & inspiration. some of the best model railroad layouts I have seen actually minimize the railroad to realistic emphasis and create a small world.

I think it worked better before. a substantial number of links don't work - probably so old the linksters gave up their websites.

maybe just needs the bugs worked out. i respect the fellow for taking charge and making it linger on a bit longer. time will tell.

go as large as you can for reliability and tight as you can for novelty. but novelty is a short lived victory, and if your railroad won't operate you'll lose interest and never finish it. so, 24" / 2 (assuming your intent is continuous running roundy-round) = 12" radius. that leaves you ha...
