thanks for the additional information & encouragement. I loosened the purse and ordered a mock nwsl press from micro-mark. when it arrives will be the time to get all my jigs straight, and I am hoping, make short work of it.

Q; I have (3) Slater's V-skips #32W01 that I would like to run on 0n30 track. i would like to slide the wheels in on the original axles about .100" (.733" vs .637" by my measurements so I assume there's a bit of a margin for error . . .) with each wheel going half that distant so the ...

I think the Gn15 movement was founded on the pretext everything would be sourced from a variety of places and then, basically, scratchbuilt. why not continue the tradition? draw inspiration from any & everywhere, but do your own thing.

nice find. lots of good ideas & inspiration. some of the best model railroad layouts I have seen actually minimize the railroad to realistic emphasis and create a small world.

I think it worked better before. a substantial number of links don't work - probably so old the linksters gave up their websites.

maybe just needs the bugs worked out. i respect the fellow for taking charge and making it linger on a bit longer. time will tell.

go as large as you can for reliability and tight as you can for novelty. but novelty is a short lived victory, and if your railroad won't operate you'll lose interest and never finish it. so, 24" / 2 (assuming your intent is continuous running roundy-round) = 12" radius. that leaves you ha...
