Re: Pepper7 Owners Health

I took my 09 layout Buttermere Mining to the recent show at Compton Dundon. Steve was there with the Black Dog Mining stand. We had a good chat while watching trains on Buttermere.

Muir-Hill tractors

I am building a Muir Hill type loco and am struggling to find pictures.

Did they have chain drives from one side of the tractor's rear axle or both sides? If both sides did one go to the leading axle and the othe to the rear? If one side then I assume there was chain drive between axles?

Re: Watts' Pipe Dream

Not much has been going on out in the garage lately, but I've been fiddling about in the warm with some little details. I want to have a pipe leading from the Suffolk & Watt Multigen into the mine to deliver compressed air to the working face, and in a novelty shop in Oxford I found this: http:...

Check the pickups - a couple of mine were only picking up reliably on 3 out of 4 wheels - would stall at the same place every time - cleaned the pickups and added a bit more pressure by bending the pickup and all was fine!

Order arrived - after looking at the parts for a few minutes out came the razor saw and Mordred became Lesdred (Lessdred won't look right) - shortened by about 2cm - going on a Bandai 8 wheel chassis. Also have one of Howard's steam trams - don't ask....... Thanks Steve for wonderful resin for me to...

A long time ago I was a happy narrow gauge modeller. Almost by accident I got into modelling USA HO in about 1997. That field at the time had some highly detailed ready to run locos, lots of basic locos that all ran really well that you could detail and rolling stock that mostly came in kit form, so...
