Re: Bergerac's small layout

I couldn’t spell Barry’s surname right (I was using Lorraine, not Loraine) but having spotted my error I have found https://www.nationalgardenrailwayshow.org.uk/layout/barry-loraines-kitchen-table-layout/ If you are a Facebook user join this group https://www.facebook.com/groups/16mmngm/ as there’s ...

Re: Bergerac's small layout

Hi Chris, Re video: I know Barry (through the internet) whose layout that is. 16mm scale on 32mm track, all the track and points are hand made. Live steam and battery electric locos. Barry also works on a very tight budget. The main difference between your first design and the latest one is that in ...

Re: Bergerac's small layout

Chris, I think that’s fine. I’m a big believer in keeping it simple. You can have masses of fun shuffling things from one siding to another to make up a train of wagons in just the order you want. Then, when it’s ready or you want to relax, out it goes for a few circuits. The next thing is to decide...

Re: First micro layout (now dismantled)

I didn't take these words as a joke. I also left the NGRM forum for this reason. I Alas, humour doesn't always travel well. Please don't give up on NGRM, there's lots in there. In the mean time, something very different from pizzas and also with a surprising amount of operating potential, ta...

Re: First micro layout (now dismantled)

Chris, Some of the most innovative and beautifully detailed creations have been the so called ‘pizza’ layouts. In once sense just a circle of track but in reality so much more. To hopefully make it easier here’s a selection of those that have ‘pizza’ in their title. http://gn15.info/forum/search.php...

The loco seems to ride those curves no problem.

My smart phone isn't that smart either. Mind you, I have a nasty suspicion it’s smarter than me.

Mark,

Hoping I’ve done the right thing I’ve changed all the thread and post titles to ‘Gnattering’. Ongoing any replies will automatically pull the correct title on through with them, as evidenced with this post.

Keep up the good work!

Hi Denny,

Good to see you’ve got back in to the Gnatterbox.

I was initially a bit flummoxed by your request, but I tried a search or two and wondered if this thread showed the sort of thing you are after:

And locked this.

New Heywood books coming

I’ve just spotted this bit of info from RCL Publishing on a narrow gauge modelling forum: ‘I'm currently working on a two volume set covering the work of Arthur Heywood and 15 inch gauge. The first volume The Duffield Bank and Dove Leys Railways is already started and we hope to publish late Summer....

Peter, Chris, Yes, I took a look at the Paypal site and couldn’t see how it could be used without an account. I think we might be able to turn it on it’s head. If you were each to send a message to Tom (Tebee) saying how much you would like to contribute he can send you a Paypal invoice that you can...

Chris,

Even if you’re not a Paypal user you can go on their website and make the payment using the ‘donations...’ address as the person to pay.
