Re: narrow gauge model question

Hi William,

Just to be tidy and keep this area on topic I’ve moved your thread to here

viewforum.php?f=18

And locked this.

No disrespect, you’re new and such places are often weird until you get used to them :D

New Heywood books coming

I’ve just spotted this bit of info from RCL Publishing on a narrow gauge modelling forum: ‘I'm currently working on a two volume set covering the work of Arthur Heywood and 15 inch gauge. The first volume The Duffield Bank and Dove Leys Railways is already started and we hope to publish late Summer....

Re: It's time to pay our hosting bill again

Peter, Chris, Yes, I took a look at the Paypal site and couldn’t see how it could be used without an account. I think we might be able to turn it on it’s head. If you were each to send a message to Tom (Tebee) saying how much you would like to contribute he can send you a Paypal invoice that you can...

Chris,

Even if you’re not a Paypal user you can go on their website and make the payment using the ‘donations...’ address as the person to pay.

Re: Gnew member and Gnewbie

Hi Chris and welcome.

If you happen to already have an 0-4-0 or 0-6-0 HO loco then a little cardboard and glue to mock up a body on the chassis will soon show just how much fun Gn15 is. And how large the models seem working in the larger scale. :D

Re: Stackpole

Hi, For the past ten or so years we have rented a cottage near Strumble Head and we’ve visited Stackpole several times. Once we were lucky enough to see an otter in the lily ponds. Since much of the path around the ponds is level I’ve often thought that a narrow gauge line could (should?) have been ...

Re: It's time to pay our hosting bill again

Geoff, To use Paypal you use the ‘email’ given as the recipient for the payment once you’ve signed in there. Trev Donations are, of course, any amount you you feel comfortable with. I’m extremely fond of the Gnatterbox so I pop in £20. I’d not expect you do to the same, but it’s your call. I’m sure ...

Re: It's time to pay our hosting bill again

Hi Tom, Happy New Year. Money sent! :D I too prefer the ease of accessing threads in this forum format to Facebook where it can be done but is much trickier. Alas the world is leaning FB way - and me with it for my Minimal group, see the link in my signature. The advantage with FB is that it's both ...

Re: The Cordale Hall Railway

Hi Paul,

All coming along nicely.

Useful to have that note that the backscene is 15” high, I’m a fiend for dimensions (yes, I know you’ve mentioned the baseboard size too) as I think a measurement or two always helps build a better mental image of what we’re looking at.

Re: TrainsOnArran

Paul,

Re ‘new user’ I’ll have a ponder. As you probably know Tom, aka Tebee, as the guy running the dirty oily bits, he is the only chap who can let people in as the beastly spammers are hitched to the standard way in.

Clearly we need to make it easier...

Re: TrainsOnArran

Hi Paul, Welcome! Alas, with the loss of kit producer Steve Bennett for personal reasons and others RIP or off trying yet more scale/gauge combos we are not as busy in here as back in the heady days around 2005 or so. Indeed, I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you that there is a Facebook group that see...

It was great to finally meet Bill yesterday (thanks for the chat). I'd throw in a pic or two but as the layout has developed with plenty of views I don't really think I could beat anything Bill has already dropped into this thread. :D
