Re: Good-bye GerryB

Hello All, Sadly, I have to tell you that Gerry passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday morning with my Mum at his side. In his last couple of days he was well enough to go online, check the weather (!) and catch up with all your messages of support. Thank you all for your friendship, I know it ...

Re: Good-bye GerryB

I have spoken to him since my post, but not recently. I check every day to see if he has signed in, but he hasn't since Friday 6 May, which I take as not good news. Cheers, Have tried a couple of times but found task too difficult up until today? Now have a bed table that nicely supports my iPad. A...

Many thanks to all for your kind comments, my presence here will be short lived. Oncologist was visited today after being referred by Gastroenterologist. He didn't pull any punches, cancer has spread to lymphs; there are two tumours in Pancreas. Downhill during last week will see the morphine dose i...

Good-bye GerryB

Not a hullo this time I'm afraid! I have been on this forum since July 2003, just beaten by Stockers. Have enjoyed being here, have met numerous great friends, some face to face. Interaction and tips had, over the years, improved my modelling and I trust that my contributions might just have done th...

Hi Chris.
The copyright text is actually more specific suggesting that ANY copying is an infringement:
"The copyright to the photos will remain with the photographer, and therefore any reproduction without permission would be an infringement of copyright."

Re: Back to loco design

Odd thing is, I have a calendar on wall with French impressionist paintings, and current one is of the Paris exhibition. No train, but it does include a short section of the track with Eiffel Tower in background. It has to be the narrow gauge as no conduit or wires up for trams and lots of people w...

Gn15 Figures

My modelling days are over as my sight is deteriorating, 5th injection in right eye expected on Friday. I've listed a number of figures on eBay (UK only as postage is too high for EU)
More will follow plus Pepper 7 items and O-16.5 as well as O gauge rolling stock and maybe Locos.

Thanks Barry, the (F) at Title indicates some poor moderating which resulted (heaven knows why) in the deletion of the Proto detail posts you have just re-instated.

Unfortunately this was never completed and now my sight isn't good enough to even try.
It will therefore appear on eBay for someone else to have a go.
Probably less water tank as I cannot find it, could well have binned it.

Re: DCC, is it a form of reverse engineering?

Maybe it is the wine, and it is Saturday evening. I am thinking about a new project. Not even narrow gauge, but it will be based in future(I have just had letter in Railway Modeller, so can not now duck out). Anyway, just wondering if trains would still have drivers, or be controlled from some cent...

Re: Kato Unitram, Tomix TCS, and buying from Japan for GNine

I've always used Plaza Japan and never paid a penny in duty ( it should have been charged on at least 3 parcels). Concluded that whoever deals with that here in UK couldn't understand the Japanese on the Customs declaration.

Re: Tebee´s Shapeways Designs

Not strictly true Juergen, bought one of Tebee's first offerings just to see what finish was like. I just painted it. At exhibitions I used to demonstrate its durability by throwing it on floor where it bounced. Obviously no power unit fitted. Now unlikely to model anything anymore as sight has gone...
