Re: Purespring Watercress News.

Some links to some blog reports about the National Narrow Gauge Convention, where Purespring Watercress was on show. First Purespring https://smallmodelrailwaylayouts.blogspot.com/2018/09/purespring-watercress-end-of-era.html. Then I met a hero http://thedrawerchallenge.blogspot.com/2018/09/they-say...

Re: The Watercress express

Ian, Si Harris (aka Model Earth Design http://modelearth.net) has kindly just pinged me a note to say that this beastie, see link below, could well do the trick - but the challenge may be to find one in stock. https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=Revell+1+24+BMW+3/15&ie=...

The Watercress express

In getting Purespring watercress ready for the NNGC convention in September I've decided to try and cobble together a model of the Vitacress/Sylvaspring locomotive Number 2. "The Watercress Express" discussed here previously http://forum.gn15.info/viewtopic.php?t=9527 (I think) It was buil...

Great work. Very atmospheric stuff. The workshop board in particular captures the essence of Duffield Bank perfectly.

Purespring Watercress News.

"What? Not that old dinosaur again? I thought it was gone for good." No. It's still around. The old dinosaur is making one more foray onto the exhibition circuit in the USA, and what a foray it will be. It's going to be on display at the 38th National Narrow Gauge Convention in Minneapolis...

Not entirely sure that three or four years absence allows me to be called "of this parish". Some creative Gn15 work would be welcome over there as many people don't exactly grasp what a "Micro" truly is.

Never before seen Purespring Watercress scenes!!!

Going out on a bit of a limb here with a bold statement like that, it is 10 years since I built the layout and that would be the only time you would have seen these scenes. So, while I was working on the layout refurbishment today I had cause to remove the roof of workshop and office as I was planni...

Ditto on the tank wagon. I like that one a lot.

Re: A G scale tree

Work continues on the tree for Purespring. This is the material I'm using to cover the wire armature http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p307/lincsguyus/latex.jpg It's what I used on my tiny T scale trees. http://more-t-please.blogspot.com/2008/10/on-my-way-to-forest.html Covering the armature is pre...

A G scale tree

Another project for the Purespring renovation is the replacement of the tree in the back left of the cabinet. It's never looked like a proper "tree" and has always bugged me. I've had some experience with the wire armature method on some tiny T scale trees and I figured that being however ...

Nice start. There was a time, many moons ago when compressed air lokeys were quite the popular subject on here.
Looking forward to seeing this build progress.

Re: A Gnoteable Anniversary

Super speedy service from Model Railway Imports in Canada meant that the 9mm Romfords arrived today. So I popped a set into the test wagon et voila! A huge improvement. Now I can get on and batch build my wagon fleet. OK only 4 wagons, but you get the idea. (iPhone photos) http://i131.photobucket.co...
