Yes that is true. But also fud is not so important in 1/24 scale or bigger, since details gets big enough anyway, so it is a double win.

Re: Henrik Laurell Models

Today I did this little freelance diesel loco, I call it the :: Vikfors diesel loco. Available in 1/45, 1/35 and 1/24 scale. Made to fit the Piko 47305 TT loco (if you choose 0 scale..). If you fancy one, make sure you select both scale AND material before you order! Henrik http://laurell.today/2017...

Today I did finish this little freelance battery electric, I call it the Vikholm Battery Electric Available in 1/45, 1/35 and 1/24 scale. Any similarity to anything similar is pure coincidence .. :) Cab is a loose piece, could either be glued on or taken of as a "winter equipment" when wea...

First out is this O&K kit which is all the parts you need to make a little steamer on a HO steam loco, like the MagicTrain or any other. Available in 1/45, 1/35 and 1/24 scale. If you fancy one, make sure you selected both scale AND material before you order! Henrik http://laurell.today/2017/08/...

Henrik Laurell Models

This last April (2017) I was working on my Atlas mine wagon in styrene. I had done several versions and was not content with what I got. Same when I tried to make more wagons of the "best" version I managed to do, which got me thinking about 3D modelling. Previously I have been lucky to ha...

Here are two steam loco ladies: http://www.fgb-galerie.de/details.php?image_id=8533 Made from whitemetal and readily painted. Bring some weight and humour to your little Gn15 steamers. Don't let those girls anywhere near a steam loco, much less the fireman's side of a double Fairlie. The Earl of Me...

Re: 3D Software

That looks great. What operating system does your 123d designer work in? I've tried the iPad version and was impressed. The Autocad website says they aren't developing 123d designer, but it and some of their other software will be replaced by something new. I'm wondering if there will be a subscrip...

Re: 3D Software

I have just about 10 days (evenings) with the free Autocad 123d Designer program and it is great! I did know absolutely nothing to start with and yesterday I come to this level on my new Atlas wagons. It is not only easy to use, there is also loads of clips on youtube which describes all the functio...

That was a rather big one! I was hoping for the smaller 0-4-4-0 mallet from 1889 event in Paris.

Re: New web pages for my 3D printed items

Looking closer at the 1/24 scale versions they seem to be made for 19mm track and correctly so. If that is the case no need to remake them for HO tracks. But please make the 1/32 scale versions available in FUD, it's only a setting in Shapeways site.

Hi Simon, First, must commend you on a fantastic collection of drawings at Shapeways..! Re: Borkum Match Light Railway - the Workbench thread

Put on black around the frame and end beams. Bogies in place, couplers installed. New proper roof made and painted. Lettering - not so much ... No problem cutting them, the Curio machine could have made them even smaller. The problem is to let the letters out without damaging the sheet so you get a ...
