Re: Thrubwell Hall

I wasn't sure that the wagons would look okay so they are separate pieces on card held in place by magnets. This also means that I can have one, two or none as the mood takes me. Cheers So in theory you could have more wagon prints and "shunt" them about as the mood takes you  :D Co...

I do love that coach! Ingenious use of the Wills sheets there, especially the board and batten roofing, certainly one to remember.

Re: Busy Time of Year

I have had a feeling for a while that we may have reached saturation point with exhibitions. Locally late Feb/March is a very busy time. Lincoln's expanded show was last weekend, this weekend there is (less locally) NG North, but also a local show in Mansfield, then Nottingham the following weekend,...

Steve, that looks absolutely fantastic! It is always good to see well observed models of real locos in this scale, they add an interesting contrast to the freelance ones. Both schools of thought are equally are valid :D

Looking very effective Bill, a cut above the standard Smokey Joe chassis and I think that once completed, the lack of outside frames won't bee too much of an issue.

Re: Brown filler.

I've used the white version of Wilko wood filler to embed track before (simply as it was to hand) and suffered no problems. It seems to be a different formula to the ready-mixed interior filler, I'm not sure it is plaster. Used some today for it's intended purpose in a decorating project! BTW, Wilki...

That does look rather good Ian, certainly distinctive and not the Gn15 'norm'. What do you intend to use as axle boxes?

As a 15" gauge loco I think it looks fine as it is. I'm surprised Mountaineer is up for sale, I do hope it goes to a good home and there is opportunity to see it on a publicly accessible railway. Mick I have to admit it is a bit brutal when you have good memories of it in 'Toby' tram guise.......

15" Lister for Sale

The much-rebuilt Lister from Cleethorpes is for sale: http://www.mrwrailways.co.uk/secondhand/locomotives/ I know the rebuild isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it isn't that often a Lister comes up for sale in any form, so I thought it worth a mention. Although I do know the seller I am not connected...
