Re: Whangaparoa Railway

 Alas, the railway is no more. It appears the Elves were wanting handrails and walkways on the bridge, amongst other safety type demands.

Whatever I did, didn't last long. So I have now manually reinserted what I could. Better, but not perfect.

Re: Haywards Estate Railway

Another Rail-Ex over (and toast to absent friends). The variety never ceases to amaze me, I as parked up alongside some vintage Soviet Bloc stuff. Comrade Robert had conscripted help (not that the conscript was complaining). Haywards performed flawlessly, not a single stalling, or derailment. Even t...

People seemed to like it. So busy running, never got a chance to shoot the other layouts, but, tomorrow, is another day.
Hall already booked for next year here.

Re: Exhibition Presentation

Presentation, to the satisfaction of the organisers.

Incidently, no barriers..... and no sticky fingers, either. The kids, and a lot of adults, knelt on the edge of the carpet. No chips of bark were harmed in the showing of this layout.

128mm long, 88mm wide, and 74mm above the deck of the underframe.
Wagon is on standard LGB Feldbahn underframe.

Re: Haywards Estate Railway

Friday evening is set up time for Rail-Ex 2017, so tonight, I've dragged out 'a few micro' layouts to ready them for the event. Haywards has effectively been in storage since last year's show, but a dust off, re glue one fence post, plug...... and play. This year, as well as a 'selection' of micros,...

Downunder, we call that a Dunny. Enough room to swing a 'possum (he might bang his head, but you can still swing him).

Southpier, I hope I don't sound resentful. I pinch myself that I get paid to do what I love to do, and the Milligan project is a great way to "give back something" to Spike Milligan, who has had such an influence on my life outlook and sense of humour. Geoff One of my favourite clips of S...

Re: Layout names

There are probably enough interesting names without inventions but if you use a real name someone (rivet counter) is bound to know the place and say that it never had a railway or your model is not correct. Cheers So very true. I once had an exhibition layout in Sn3½ named after a very obscure plac...
