Re: No route... AGAIN.

I'm finally able to view Gnatterbox after nearly 4 months :D :D and then only by registering as a new member using a different email address. I've lost count how may requests I've sent requesting a new password and assistance with the problem without any response :| Who you sending requests to ? As...

Re: No route found for "GET /viewtopic.php"

It's very hard to diagnose a problem when it's not reliably reproducible, like a car that will cut out sometimes, but restart 15 mins later and run for the next week. You can take it into the garage and they can check it over, but if there is nothing obvious wrong at the time all you can do is start...

Re: No route found for "GET /viewtopic.php"

Yes it's just I wish I could understand why it seems to work for some people part of the time and not for other people/times. If I could understand that I might be able to work out the route cause of this and do something about it.

Yours frustratedly Tom.....

Re: Cost of shipping from Europe

29 euro does sound excessive. From France I charge £2.50 for the locos I send - this breaks down €1.50 actual postage in Europe or €2.10 rest of world, €1 for the plastic box I send them in and €0.35 for the padded envelope . Thicker and heavier things cost around €5-7 For €15 I can send a 2kg box t...

Re: No route found for "GET /viewtopic.php"

it seems to be related to whether you use http://gn15.info/forum or http://forum.gn15.info/. Loging on and off may change this. I've not been able to find a cause for this, nor why the problem went away for a while . I have a new software version to install this week, will see if that changes anythi...

Other than clearing the cache out again I've done nothing.

Does this mean I won't be getting my free Mac ?

Re: Gnatterbox 'look and feel' hiccups?

I've seen it happen on other forums, but very rarely, when using dozywindows over the years, but it's normally transient and down to communications errors or a slow/overload server. This seems to be happening much of the time to our Mac users. Incidentally I would get rid of windows myself, though I...

Re: Gnatterbox 'look and feel' hiccups?

Just to try to chase this down a little - has anyone with a PC had this problem or is it just those with Macs?

If it's the latter, who's going to buy me a nice new mac so I can debug the problem  ?

Re: Smallbrook 1/35 scale locos

Yes have a stall booked on the exhibition on the 18th and should have some of the 1:35 wagon bodies for sale there. I''ve just lost the pace I was due to stay at in Southport, so am now desperately looking round for alternative accommodation, but hopefully will still make it - I leave here in less t...

Re: Smallbrook 1/35 scale locos

But G gauge also suffers from the same plethora of scales ( I've seen it used for everything from 1:19-1:29) and it does not seem to affect the popularity of that. I admit it might put off some of the fine scale modellers, but there should be plenty of others - maybe the all just gravitate to Gn15 i...

Re: Smallbrook 1/35 scale locos

To get back on subject a bit more, I wonder what it will take to get 1:35 to take off ? It's a nice scale, but not many use it. Of the stuff I sell on Shapeways in this scale I've sold much more to Germany, than to the UK. But Shapeways stuff is expensive in this size, so maybe that's just a refecti...

Re: Smallbrook 1/35 scale locos

There is a reason it just sits on the chassis - in this home printing it's much easier if you don't have to use support marital and just work off a flat surface - rather like resin casting. The problem I'm having with them is that because it's a large mass of plastic it shrinks when it cools - this ...

Re: Smallbrook 1/35 scale locos

On of the nice things about 3-d printing is the ease at which you can change the size. I'm planing on producing 1:35 versions of the On16 wagons I do. Unfortunately I've been having problems getting them to print successfully and with my recent health problems not been in a state to sort it out. How...

forum.gn15.info working again?

http://forum.gn15.info/ seems to have started working again - at least for me. I have no idea why, as I've not changed anything either in the forum software or the hosting as I've been ill - you may have noticed I've not been on here much. But then I have no idea why it stopped working in the first ...

I am trying work out if I can do models of these - I'm not sure yet if it will end up as a home print model or a Shapeway's one.
