Re: Thin Drinking Straws

Anyone figured out how to make the paint stick to them ? All versions I found are a bit like "greasy" on the surface and stands no handling at all.

Re: (F) Royal Arsenal Railway - Preservation

thanks Ian, sorry for my late reply. Wrote the initial question during some free time, after that and xmas, work took back most attention .. :? Glad to hear that progress is being made, even if so slow. It's about the same here in Sweden, funding is a constant struggle to get the 'right' people to u...

Re: (F) Royal Arsenal Railway - Preservation

I did just check the http://www.therailwayproject.blogspot.com/ site but it hasn't been updated since July 2013 ..

Could anyone fill in current status, would be nice to know ?

Is the loco getting any closer to restored, has the restoration of the wagons started ?

Same here, thumbs up! Paper is very easy to (when ready) to soak in CA glue before adding paint and weathering. Doing so it gets as hard as plastics. There is cheaper types of CA glue if not enough in the local bottle .. :P /Henrik Might I suggest that users of CA read this thread: http://forum.gn1...

I use tiny brass spikes with round head from our local hardware store. Much cheaper than those "scale rivets".
Cut of unwanted length before apply to the model. Add a dot CA to the pre-made hole just before and there it is!

In your scale maybe parts from a disassembled ballpoint pen could be of use ..

Just an idea.

Would also be nice if we could see a finished print instead of a picture of something laying upside down.
No criticism just an suggestion in how to improve your shop.

I have noticed a small problem on Shapeways website/shop, when I updated models for sale, some details did not update. It was the value i put in commission. I originally thought I had not put value in on one model, so was ultra careful on next batch. After being asked to offer the better quality ma...
