Re: Modelearth modelling: 1/12 on 00 track

I seem to have missed a little bit of info in my post above.

That is, the train in the photo, when seen actual size and excluding couplers, is 23.5cm long.

There, now you can enjoy it even more. :D

Re: Modelearth modelling: 1/12 on 00 track

Hi Gerald,

According to Si:

‘The loco was originally built around a Lima chassis, I upgraded it prior to
painting with a Tenshodo spud 34mm wheelbase on 14mm wheels, purchased from
Scale Link.’

Modelearth modelling: 1/12 on 00 track

Some time ago Si Harris of Modelearth built a handful of 1/12 models for 00 track, thus giving a reasonable representation of 7 1/4" gauge (actually closer to 7 3/4", but who would cavill?). He's recently painted them and loaded the resultant pics in both the 7/8ths Lounge and Narrow Gauge...

:| Like, I suspect, many other Gnatterboxers I only knew Andy through the group in here, but that was from when he joined in 2003. He had great fun experimenting with a lot of modelling ideas and from his comments enjoyed a wide range of other interests beyond our virtual walls. My condolences to Su...

Re: (F) Supersize Me -- 1:12

This has long been one of my favourite layouts. Actually it's probably more a diorama. I had the pleasure of seeing it back in 2010. As Steve wrote at the beginning of the thread: 'OK, I know I spend most of my time modelling, but I was determined over the holiday to model just for me, no commercial...

Still modelling Gn15 or just looking?

Hi guys, Having a little look at the numbers of Gnatterbox members still involved I found it modestly heartening that some 200 members have signed in at some stage this year. So, we might be a little quiet with regard to posts but at least there’s still interest out there. Which made me wonder, if y...

THREADS REVIVED WITH PHOTOS

Please excuse the 'shouting' use of capitals in the thread title, but having found a (slowish) way of grabbing photos back from P Bucket no matter who put them there I wanted let you all know about threads which are being brought 'back from the dead'. Please note, it is, sadly, far too much work to ...

I've found a way to improve and speed up my 'snatch from the jaws of P Bucket' technique, so here's a bunch more photos that we thought weren't going to see the light of day again.

Re: Simplicity Sidings

Right, found a new way to get at what I want. Expensive on my time and effort, but hopefully fellow Gnatterboxers will agree it's worth it. What follows is not every photo by any means and you'll have to perhaps copy and paste Steve's 'words and music' into a separate doc (perhaps print it out so th...

Re: Simplicity Sidings

I think P Bucket's system might have got wise to it but I've managed to grab (no, don't ask me how) some 20 of Steve's Simplicity Sidings photos out of the depths.

Sadly I'm not sure you're going to get an answer Graham as Roger hasn't signed in for a couple of years (you can always check by clicking on a bod's name under their avatar and look at the 'Last active' date in their Profile).

I thought I’d bring this thread back into play since it’s another Simplicity Sidings based little layout with surviving pics (they’re in our own Gn15 storage).

Re: Eaton Hall & Co cakebox layout

Cardboard mock ups are great fun and so cheap.

A suggestion if I may: add a door space to the right of the loading bay with the steps incorporated into that. The loading bank should then be 'all of a piece' and large enough to have a couple of wagons being serviced at any one time.

Hi Brian, Welcome to the Gnatterbox. Although it’s Gn15 Chris Krupa’s ‘Matthews Corner’ is well worth a look. Alas the great P Bucket hosting disaster has hit the pics in here, but the thread remains, go to http://forum.gn15.info/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9458 Althought the write up is in French there...

This one popped up in my Minimal group the other day. Plenty of scope I thought to inspire that Gn15 mob.
