Removing data and road names ?

For discussion of the issues faced when building a model or layout - how to replicate wood, what glues to use, exactly how much weathering can a Gnat take, a good source of detailing accessories - you get the picture, I'm sure.

Postby Chris18 » Tue Nov 04, 2014 4:07 pm

How can I remove data and road name on a freight car ?
I don't want to make a "plastic soup" with my car if you see what I mean...
Many thanks by advance for your help.

We use UNDO here in the states. It is nitromethane based so it may take the paint off too.

If you are trying to take the paint off without hurting the plastic try soaking the piece in brake fluid for a day or two. a shorter time and local application might do just the writing.
