Yes, Richard has been at it again, his latest creation had its public debut yesterday. This time he has fallen under the spell of the Micro layout, showing just what can be achieved in a tiny 30" by 9" area, with a simple track plan. Inspired by the photos of Chris Krupa's little Matthew's Corner layout, he set to work and achieved all this in just a couple of months, could explain him being missing from this forum recently. As always with Richards work, the quality and attention to detail can only really be appreciated when seen for real, photos (especially mine) just don't do it justice. I was going to put captions to the photos but think I will let the pics do the talking, enjoy.

The ivy are individual leaves applied to a net material, produced here in the UK by Green Scene. I'm not sure what the leaves are made of, but they are punched out of a very thin self coloured material, they also do the same thing in Autumn shades.

I meant to add, that most of the greenery that Richard used on this layout is from the Green Scene range, as is the ballast on the track. Probably not found outside of the UK, although I think they do/did have a distributor in Germany. The quality is every bit as good as Woodland Scenics, if not better, but being a one man operation, distribution is quite limited. Thoroughly recommended if you can find it.

The 4D modelling shop (the architectural modelling shop discussed elsewhere in the fora) in London appear to carry most of the Green Scene range. I visited there yesterday to buy some wood and corrugated sheet to construct a loco shed with and all I can say, is wow. Certainly ended up spending more than I intended. A link for their website is below:

I had forgotten about 4D. John Lloyd, who is Green Scene, was one of the original 4D team and still has close ties with them. He broke away to develop his own range about ten years ago. Looking through the 4D site, most of the range seems to be there, but couldn't find the leaves which triggered this, they might be there though, I might have missed them. This is probably the best online source for the Green Scene range.

Using my internet digging skills, I've come up with http://www.green-scene.co.uk which has been under construction since this time last year.

The email address is the same and there's now a telephone number.

Richards previous layouts have featured on here before.

Ruggin Manor Peatworks can be found here:

And the Somerset Cider Company here:

Plus there are probably more on them featured in various other threads.
