Diesel Locos

For discussion of the issues faced when building a model or layout - how to replicate wood, what glues to use, exactly how much weathering can a Gnat take, a good source of detailing accessories - you get the picture, I'm sure.

Diesel Locos

Postby howard jones » Thu Jun 01, 2017 4:38 pm

Hi chaps. A few years ago I built a few diesel locos ( photo attached ) and wonder if these resin kits are still available anywhere ?
I am hoping to get back into this brilliant 'scale' soon and need to do my homework first.

Kind regards

Hi Howard,

It's a bit quiet around here these days but we are still chugging along.

Those locos look like these:

Thanks for the reply Chris. These loco's ( + a quite a lot of rolling stock ) were from Blackdog. I was wondering though, with the different threads on here about Steve Bennett, whether you can still obtain the stuff on this website ?

Answer is: I don't know.

Due to some kerfuffle several years back now (no, let's definitely not rake that up again please folks) Steve stopped posting in here. He's also had a bunch of family issues, I think particularly connected to his parents' health.

Our lovely late Gerry Bullock used to chat with Steve on the phone occasionally and has before now reported that he tends not to even answer the phone in normal office hours owing to the large number of nuisance calls.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to suggest. Has anyone else seen, spoken with or otherwise interacted with Steve recently who can help us please?

Cheers,
