Back home now,
Are you planning on connecting the 3 story building with a walkway to the other building?
Marty The old walkway suffered a fair bit of damage but I did like the concept. I am still cogitating about the new stone building, I am not sure about the stone it might end up either sandstone or Brick. A short walkway between the asbestos building and the new one is in the cards for sure.
I want the track to be embedded like tramway track and while I was in Calgary this last weekend I purchased a bag of Atlas brass track for $10. My plan was to strip the rails out of the snap track and double up the rails solder them together with tabs under the flat bottom. like this.
With some .025" x .25" flat strip the code 100 becomes 1/8th inch high. I will use 1/8th hardboard as the foundation either side and between to create a level surface.
Thinking about the tight spaces in the works I have decided to use turntables instead of points to switch from one line or direction and another.
