Haywards Estate Railway

For discussion of the issues faced when building a model or layout - how to replicate wood, what glues to use, exactly how much weathering can a Gnat take, a good source of detailing accessories - you get the picture, I'm sure.

2006, and 2009. They were here within a few weeks of ordering them. Got 3 all up.
I was happy with the price, quality, and service.

You really need to have a word with that mechanic. He has been under the back of that ute for some years. I think he is fast asleep

Sleep on, mate. As soon as you wake up, you're fired!

He's one of the mechanics from the kit set of mechanics when all you could get in the way of figures, was mechanics. Had a devil of a job trying to fit him into a 'railway' setting, until along came Jed with his '28 Olds that I decided needed fixing.

Hi Gavin,
Thanks for resurrecting the photos of Hayward's Estate. Was it really that long ago??

That tiny wagon # 4 looks familiar. It has been on a tour twice around this world some years ago: http://forum.gn15.info/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7987

Unfotunatly many pictures are no longer visible. But there quite a few left.....

That vintage Oldsmobile looks familiar as well: http://www.prewarbuick.com/features/jed_clampetts_buick

Indeed, SFER #4 is a wagon built by the late Carl Arendt, and acquired by fellow gnutter Ben Calcott. It did do two world tours. And, yes, that's Jed's truck. Granny's seat is parked up behind the Engine Shed. Getting to be a trip down memory lane all this photo hosting nonsense......

This photo was taken to kick off the SFER #4 World Tour. I particularly like it for the static grass effect

Downunder, we call that a Dunny. Enough room to swing a 'possum (he might bang his head, but you can still swing him).
