sources of wildlife??

For discussion of the issues faced when building a model or layout - how to replicate wood, what glues to use, exactly how much weathering can a Gnat take, a good source of detailing accessories - you get the picture, I'm sure.

sources of wildlife??

Postby Charlie Stewart » Fri May 14, 2010 8:04 am

Hi I'm after some wildlife for the tilery, main things seen regularily down there are,

Ducks,
Birds ( Seagulls in the main)
Rabbits

If anyone knows of sources of good examples please let me know ( I'm sure I read somewhere on here that the better ones were handmade, I think )

Thanks Charlie

:P This little fella was after wildlife, too.

Seriously, DCRfan turned up with what was supposed to be necklace beads in the shapes of cats , birds, and bunnies. Bogged up the bead holes, and we got wildlife.

Charlie, if you contact Tracey would you kindly let the forum know if she is still active. At a recent show I was told that due to ill-health she was no longer making birds, etc.

Not exactly seagulls, but I am in the process of molding two pelicans that should be ready soon for 1/2" scale. I will also have two double doors and an electrical meter set sometime (I hope) soon.

They may be cheaper, being made from resin, however they're not in the same league as Tracey's hand crafted ones:
