For discussion of the issues faced when building a model or layout - how to replicate wood, what glues to use, exactly how much weathering can a Gnat take, a good source of detailing accessories - you get the picture, I'm sure.

Many thanks for the kind comments chaps. I've not had time to do much since the last post, and I'm off tomorrow for a month, so nothing more will get done. I shall come back refreshed and full of ideas - but I'd better finish this project off as my first priority.

Somehow, I managed to miss this thread completely, so thanks Gerry for bringing it back from the archives.
Wonderful bit of modelling Bill and such a useful thing to have around for photography. Something I have been meaning to make for years, but never got around to :roll: Maybe a project for the Xmas break :)

I see there was no reply about the fishplates, but it just so happens I use them too :D They are from C&L Finescale:
