Occasionally films of Taiwan Coal mining are mentioned in forums all over the place.

T.A. Yorke developed and sells a Gn15 interpretation of a loco tractor used over there. http://tomyorkegn15emporium.blogspot.de/2013/06/taiwan-mining-diesel-available-now.html

Does somebody in here knows, when and where the prototypes were built?

I am working on one of the Yorke kits at the moment

They are designed for a Black Beetle 38mm chassis, but I shortened mine, to take a 35 Hallig drive.

I can't help with specifics, but I spent a lot of my free time in 1996/7 exploring the Ping Xi coal lines and their remains. The locomotives, of which I saw four, were all similar but subtly different. There was no identification on them. All had the Chen Yu packaged single cylinder diesel which looked fairly new. I witnessed the last day's operation in October 1997 at the mine near Shih Fen which features in the commonly posted video.

I have seen somewhere on a Taiwan website two examples of a more modern version painted yellow apparently used at a gold mine.

Time to assemble the parts. They are delivered via an old Ford Pickup truck.

The painter must have grabbed the wrong tin of green. A bit darker might look better.

So this is the first Taiwanese diesel loco in Kraehwinkle. A very fine kit.

The small Taiwan loco found a home in one of my cardboard loco sheds, discribed elsewhere in this forum.

I mounted one of the shed´s sidewalls with little magnets, so I have easy access, when further detailing the inside.

Love the sabre toothed rabbit, but how do you know its 1:13th scale, how did they measure one?

We don´t measure the sabre tooth animals, we simply breed them in scale at the local Swamp Dragon Farm
Click on the pictures to see them larger.

The above labatory is in 1 : 13, but sometimes, the animals jump over to the Gn15 layout.
