Currently un-named scrapyard

GNine seems to have worked for me. When I say the "G scale on 9mm track? Are you mad?" heading to this section, it was "challenge accepted" and has mostly gone from there.

So far "Road Runner" and "Charlie the Choo Choo" have come about and worked well enough, "Splitfoot Mine" is on hold, and this effort is rising from the ashes of "Santa Clarita & Los Zapatos" - a failed, heretical On30 pizza which overcame my ability to lay track.

It was to feature two automatic station stop / starts, and after a lot of work these eventually worked. The track radius was just a hair too tight, and the project failed. This left me with a pizza base, a fair bit of electrics under it, and the bitter taste of failure.

A peruse of the C Arendt site produced "Scrapper Sid's NG Emporium" (scroll down a bit):

http://www.carendt.com/micro-layout-des ... uts-contd/

so I'm going to pull down my barns and build greater, at least from a micro layout point of view.

Photos to follow.

Thanks Christian - good to see another Gnine modeller.

The original pizza looked like this:

and after many, many misadventures now looks like this:

A bit rough so far, but all being well it will turn out ok :)

Looks like you still have a lot of hard work to do...

I do indeed. Not the ideal way to start a project, but it will get there eventually :)

I’m looking forward to more photos. I build rolling stock slowly, so don’t yet have the population for a scrapyard.

Thanks Peter.

I've a lot of scrap OO wagon bodies - bought broken etc from "under the table" boxes at shows for donor Gn15 chassis which can be Dremel-ised and used, but charity shop toy boxes etc will be taking a good hit as well :)
