I found this website on the French 60cm gauge in Morocco. Some interesting pictures of bridges.
http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Narrow_gauge_railways_in_former_French_Morocco

I suspect many bridges were lightweight girder on supports and probably then sleepered, USA style. The concrete(?) supports have lasted longer than the railways, so maybe a bit overbuild, then if they wee meant to cope with potential of being blown up then it makes sense.
The picture of what looks like a concrete arched bridge is interesting, typical in some ways of later French builds, maybe 1920s. As it has been converted to a road, can't see what the track was like.

plenty of photos here

I ordered a baldwin from minitrains. I was badly surprised by the default on electrical pick-up (quality of Germany and made in China I supposed).

When I was young, I played with airfix, esci and atlantic figures. I played also with the super Britain brand figures at 1/32 scale.

I have finished my layout. I need just to add 4 rolling stocks and two more locomotives (one Baldwin and one decauville) as soon as they will be released bu Minitirains and Bachmann.

The layout will be exhibited for the first time at Sedan Ramma in France in 15 days.

A general overview of the layout.

A great layout. I like how you’ve used bright contrasty colours to bathe the layout in hot sunshine.
