(F) Kerr Stuart diesel details

Postby Alexanderrainer » Fri Dec 08, 2006 9:42 am

And now for something completely different:

I wish to scratchbuild an H0n30 loco, something like the Kerr Stuart:

As I know this forum as a really good source for anything rail related under the sun I ask you, if anybody can help me out with drawings or measurements, details so I could have a go with another card stock model.

Managed to find some basic dimensions for both
The 0-4-0 is 11 feet 9 inches long and 6 feet wide, with a wheelbase of 3 feet 6 inches.
The 0-6-0 is 13 feet 9 inches long and 6 feet wide, with a wheelbase of 5 feet 2 inches.
Sorry it's not in metric, no time to work it out at the moment.

Just as a small "Thank you!" for your support I add a progress pic of what I did with your help.

Looks like something Kerr-Stuart-like.

Still some details to add, but Rittigsmill (O-9-shoebox-project) keeps me busy these weeks.
