Mozzer,

A wonderful layout, so much in a little space. I like the Sarissa Precision buildings. Everything looks right and captures the atmosphere of the desert west brilliantly. Updates as this little gem develops please.
Kind regards
Mark

Those sleeping Mexicans look great! Great miniatures.

Never really thought about it before but this sort of Western setting totally excuses the sometimes unconvincing 'detached houses lined up along the back scene' school of modelling. This is exactly what they looked like, very prototypical!

been thinking ( yes i know not a good idea)

Could i get away with a set of Gallows behind the Jail
http://store.gcmshop.com/products/943-t ... st014.aspx
Or would it be in bad taste
With the layout I am going for the Spaghetti Western look

Yes, go for it... in fact, I think in front, in full view, with the guilty party ready to drop, and a huuuuuuuuuuuge crowd. Then of course you'd have to animate it

By the way, I love the look you have acheived. Keep it coming :D

(in the above pic. I see chocolate biscuits and vinegar.... that's not a well balanced diet!)

G'day Mozzer
Some might say that a gallows scene is in 'bad taste' but on the other-hand some might think otherwise.

I have seen a "G" scale layout with a gallows scene, a gunfight, a skeleton and a house of ill repute.
Most of the show crowd seemed to enjoy it and viewed it in the spirit in which it was offered.

You can be sure that if it is REALLY in bad taste you probably will not get any invites to shows.
But its your layout so you are free to do what-ever you want on it.

Just remember that you can please some of the people all of the time or all of the people some of the time ..... but not all of the people all of the time.

Go for it !

Absolutely super, Mozzer. I like the wheel track effect of the wagons turning at the church/bank/jail/stables end of the layout too (pics 004/009).

Could use a few extra 'townsfolk' :D 'tis looking a little like a ghost town.

And going back to the question of the gallows.... if you have one, it doesn't have to be 'in use'. That way, it shouldn't offend anybody.
