Slow Gnatterbox

Postby Bilco » Fri Feb 06, 2015 9:02 am

The GnATTERbox has got extremely slow recently. It takes 30 seconds for the site to open, and similar length of time to open a topic or a thread. Other web sites open as quickly as they always have - i.e. almost instantaniously - so it's not my internet connection or computer.

Agree with Bill, not had this problem b4 however it is intermittent as for about 3 different access attempts it was near immediate then went back to 30+ secs.
Then no access at all about 10 minutes back with this error message:
SQL ERROR [ mysqli]
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/llb/mysql/mysql.soch'(2)[2002]
An sql error occured while fetching this page.
Chinese to me.
Took 40 secs to load post then another 40 secs to access post to add this comment.
So little time, so many ideas!!!!! GerryB.

I'll echo the above - somewhat. Over the last few days it can be a bit slow, not nearly as slow as reported by Gerry. I've experienced this on an Apple Mac running OS X 10.8.5 and Safari 6.2.2 and also on my iPad 3 on iOS 8.1.1.

cheers,

I'm not having any problems with speed of loading on an Android tablet while I am on holiday in foreign parts using the hotels WiFi to access.
Cheers

Well, I don't know (Gno? :D ) if Tom has changed anything but all seems perfectly whizzy at present.
