A Gn15 LAYOUT SNOWFLAKE CHALLENGE

Caption competitions, competitions run by The Management (ahem) or just a challenge you'd like to set your fellow 'boxers, this is where to put them!

If anyone finds a challengney type thread elsewhere can you PM me the number and I'll carefully copy it over into this forum.

If anyone's wondering why I've done this ... wait and see! :-)

G'day Daffyd
I am sorry to say that I haven't given that part of the challenge much thought so far.
Well still 7 months to go.
Probably, as you suggest, a poll thread.
Seems to be the fairest and stops any judge's bias.
I seem to remember that there was some problem with the crane challenge judging system so will have to make sure that's cleared up before November

Fatmac ...... the curvature of the track is limited only by the size of the pizza box. As I stated in the original post I have found reference to a pizza box of 28 inches square.
If you can find one of those it would be possible to use sectional track :!:

Cheers

I'm not a participant however for those who find Pizze territorially challenging there is a solution.
When I was in Italy recently we had lunch at a Pizzeria; most Italian Pizzeria do not make circular Pizze but bake a rectangular version which can be one metre in length!
The Pizza is sold by weight therefore if someone wants a large piece one needs a large box.
Rectangular Pizze boxes come in the following sizes ( there maybe others):
60x40cms
70x34cms
100x35cms
110.5x35.7cms
Problem, they're unlikely to be found ouside Italy.
So little time, so many ideas!!!!! GerryB.

The pointy end of the challenge !

At this point all the layouts should be finished and ready to be presented for judging :!:
(Yea, right ! )

So here we have just a few lines on the judging of this challenge.

First I will start a new thread in the “Challenges” folder (this one) called “2013 pizza challenge”.
---------------------------oOo---------------------------
This should be ONLY used by the people who have actually built a layout to showcase their wares.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS THREAD FOR ANY OTHER POSTINGS
---- your chance will come later !
Please be patient !
---------------------------oOo---------------------------
Each entry should have the following……
1) The title/name of the layout.
2) Up to three photos (preferably hosted at my.gn15.info) complete with captions.
3) A short description with a maximum of 500 words.
4) A link to the build thread, if there is one.
---------------------------oOo---------------------------
On the 10 December, to allow plenty of time for all to take really good photo's, I will start a new poll thread which will include all the layouts and allow ALL members to vote and comment on them if they want to.

The Poll will be closed on new year’s eve which should give everybody ample time to study and judge the layouts.
---------------------------oOo---------------------------

Hoping that this will meet the approval of all ?
