1/35th Scale 2ft Gauge

Postby DCRFAN 3 » Mon May 28, 2018 10:03 am

Yeah, finally regained access to Gnatterbox. I've just started on new exhibition layout which will feature an 2ft gauge estate/industrial line. I've been working on modifying Miniart vacuum formed buildings.

First I've joined two Workshop kits together to form a large estate building. The doors are rather low so I have increased the height the doors. The photo shows the first door raised.

This building will form the RAF armoured car school who are temporally using the building in early 1920s which will look something like this.

The European Barn has been modified to become a small station building

Two plywood baseboards are currently under construction which will enable a simple roundy roundy track plan based on Belfield Estate 7mm layout.

I will follow this thread with interest. The buildings definitely appeal to me. With a little work they could be made to look British I think.

Kind regards Peter M

Must admit my first go at placing the buildings on the pair of baseboards I've made did not go well as they overwhelmed the available space so I'm having second thoughts on this subject.

I have a second theme in mind with many of the kits and components already stashed away which I will have another look at.
