I must like PAIN- or I started the new Loco...

Postby chris69 » Mon Feb 22, 2016 7:26 am

Hi,
well car No2 is about 80% complete and the 3rd is barely started , but the bug got me and I started on the LOCO.
Like some of you suggested, the first one is the Center Cab one, on a 2 Axle Chassis.
Looking over the Parts, Hoods and cab, I realized that the hoods came from a Faller E Train Loco, it had a bunch of small detail on it. Trim, Louvers hatches etc.
Now the insanity struck. I shaved the details off with an exacto blade and started to sand down the rest with sandpaper. Not a fun job, but I hope all worth it.
Well here are the first pictures.

To finish the sanding job, I will try something new. There is a method to convert an electric toothbrush in to a mini sander. Will try this and see how it goes.
Its a slow start but a start.
Have a great day
Chris
