Some WW I footage

Want to talk about Sir Arthur Heywood's 15" gauge railways? About modern day minimum gauge lines? Have you found a minimum gauge line you've not seen mentioned on the website? Want directions to one of the railways that is mentioned? Whatever your interest in real minimum gauge lines, post your questions (and answer other modellers' questions) here.

That's excellent, thank you very much for the 'heads up'

Ken
I'm an O16.5er myself, but the more I look at this forum the more tempting a small O9 layout is!

Some more WW 1 footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddgr3BDeMB4&list=PLMBzzf74SvDUQVko38nPvtXInzpWD-1zI#t=19.919062

Simply let the film run and you are occupied for the next few hours with watching
military railways from all over the world.

Here is a French film about militar railroading http://www.ecpad.fr/les-petits-trains-de-la-grande-guerre-2/

Have Fun

I have seen those films online. There has been talk of more film being put online, in particular French film as they tended to film a lot more. The German film is interesting, in particular for the detail of what was next to the track.

Narrow gauge Francophile interested in 1m, 60cm,50cm , 40cm and smaller gauges . Build in scales from 1/6th to 1/24th. Also 1/32nd and 1/35th using 16.5mm track to represent 50cm and 60cm gauges.

I have seen those films online.

So why did you never publish a link to them? Every forum needs contributions from their readers.

Most of these wartime films are more or less propaganda films. You never see dead or wounded victims in them. After all, there were millions of them.

Have Fun
