Call for Emett models - new exhibition

Want to talk about Sir Arthur Heywood's 15" gauge railways? About modern day minimum gauge lines? Have you found a minimum gauge line you've not seen mentioned on the website? Want directions to one of the railways that is mentioned? Whatever your interest in real minimum gauge lines, post your questions (and answer other modellers' questions) here.

Call for Emett models - new exhibition

Postby MichaelPG » Thu Oct 13, 2016 12:10 pm

An exhibition is going to be held at Thinktank in Birmingham from December 2016 to March 2017, entitled "Mechanical Things - Emett, Automata and Others". The centrepiece will be "A Quiet Afternoon in the Cloud Cuckoo Valley" - the largest railway-oriented piece Emett ever made apart from the Far Tottering & Oyster Creek railway at Battersea. The exhibition will include models inspired by Emett's railway cartoons and other work and if anyone has any models which they would be willing to loan please contact Tim Griffiths using the form on the Rowland Emett Society Website: http://www.rowlandemett.com/contact/4566409472

I'm still trying to find a way of contacting Alan Hutchins who built some lovely GN15 dioramas of Emett's cartoons - I've mentioned this before, does anyone know him?
