Eaton Hall Gardens Open Days 2017

Want to talk about Sir Arthur Heywood's 15" gauge railways? About modern day minimum gauge lines? Have you found a minimum gauge line you've not seen mentioned on the website? Want directions to one of the railways that is mentioned? Whatever your interest in real minimum gauge lines, post your questions (and answer other modellers' questions) here.

Eaton Hall Gardens Open Days 2017

Postby Voyager » Mon Jan 23, 2017 10:16 pm

Dear All,

Dates for 2017 just published on the Eaton Estate website.

http://www.eatonestate.co.uk/our-giving ... -days.aspx

Sunday 16 April (Easter w/e)

Sunday 28 May (Bank Holiday w/e)

Sunday 30 July

Sunday 27 August (Bank Holiday w/e)

Nothing specific about the railway on that page as yet, but assuming similar arrangements as previously it might be reasonable to expect two batches of timed tickets for train rides to be released, the first upon opening at 1030 for morning trains and then the second around lunchtime for afternoon trains.

Well worth a visit if you haven't been, or to go again if you have!
Regards to all,

Voyager

Thanks for the heads up.

I really must get there again this year. It was on the calendar for last year but life and SWMBO meant I never quite managed it.

Cheers,
