always difficult finding old films, especially ones which might have been released on VHS, and partly because of high price and limited interest it does not make it to DVD. Obvious answer is to make many of these(historical) films available to download, not necessarily for free. If no commercial organisation is doing this then it would be a good project for one of the preservation/historical organisations.
I have been after a copy of an old promotional film(1948) for Scammell lorries when the Scarab was launched and a lot of joint work with Bedford. It was released many years ago with some other films on VHS, but I have never found out any more about it. There is a slim chance it might have my grandfather in the film as he was works manager for Scammell at the time.
