Stockers Minimal gauge Gathering 24 June

A general talking shop for any subject under the sun (even Monty Python). This would also be a good place to make suggestions about the site itself or about these forums (or "fora", if you're particularly pedantic).

Stockers Minimal gauge Gathering 24 June

Postby chris stockdale » Sat Jun 17, 2017 9:01 am

Big scale (12" to the foot) small gauge: 7 1/4".

Over the last few years I've organised a modest Gathering of like minded minimal gauge bods to bring their locos and/or stock to a 7 1/4" line in Cheshire. Alas, said line is not available this year but we are going to a Model Engineers site instead.

There you will able to see the likes of the locos in the photo below (the Simplex is a miniature, not minimal; all the locos in the pic were built by the chap you see there, Martyn Redfearn), and hopefully quite a few more besides. There should be several Scamps there - some 30 odd are now either running or in build, see this thread for more info on them:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10457&p=122838&hilit=scamp#p122838

The location is:

Brighouse and Halifax Model Engineers
Ravensprings Park, Cawcliffe Road, HD6 2HP Brighouse

There's no charge.

Come and see GNine brought to life!

Cheers,

That does look like fun. I do wish I could be there but the commute is a bit long.
