Returning to GN15

After a few years away I have agreed to bring my GN15 layout to an exhibition later this year. The layout has been stored in a loft but has suffered some damage so I will need to carry out repairs etc.

Biggest problem is that I have sold off all my locos and wagons so I need to look to see what's available these days. Most of my locos came from Steve Bennett and I understand that it's been difficult to obtain contact/items from himself so I am looking to scratch build. I may try a 3D kit as well.

It's good to be back thanks to Tom

Hi John,

To replicate what I wrote some time back in Trade Tittle-tattle:

‘Hi fellow Gnatterboxers,

I have been able to talk to Steve, who regrettably still does not have a computer, and we agreed I suggest that anyone who would like to place an order with him do it manually by using the good old postal service.

Even if any of his websites might allow you to order, please don't!

Instead write to him at:

Steve Bennett
95 King Arthurs Road
Exeter
EX4 9DS

Anything placed or communicated electronically in recent months will have effectively fallen into a 'black hole' as Steve has no way of seeing/managing it.

I hope this helps.’

Cheers,

I think the Gn15 movement was founded on the pretext everything would be sourced from a variety of places and then, basically, scratchbuilt. why not continue the tradition? draw inspiration from any & everywhere, but do your own thing.

I have already sent a letter to Chris about 2 weeks ago including a SAE but to date haven't had a reply.

Cheers
