Good afternoon Emrys
It having been suggested (by implication) that it was in some way improper to have made the suggestion in the first place that a wider and more embracing name for the forum would be appropriate, I had come to the view that my best course would be to ask your opinion direct. Accordingly I was mindful to publicly post a request that if you did feel it to be improper you would unequivocally state that to be the case. Were you to have done so I would then in a decent and honourable way have considered my position, it being the case that in my opinion it had not been in anyway improper and that I had offered the idea in polite and civilised terms.
However, the action you have taken seems to move the situation a stage further on and my initial reaction was to post a statement of gratitude. Unfortunately the new site stated that I was unable to post in anyway. Being somewhat technically challenged in these matters I gave it a little thought and wondered if it would be necessary for me to register on the new site. I set about doing so, only to be rejected on the grounds that someone with my identity and e-mail address already existed.
I am thus left feeling (a) grateful, but (b) frustrated.
Best wishes
Christopher Payne
