Henrik Laurell Models

Postby henrix72se » Sun Aug 13, 2017 2:24 pm

This last April (2017) I was working on my Atlas mine wagon in styrene. I had done several versions and was not content with what I got. Same when I tried to make more wagons of the "best" version I managed to do, which got me thinking about 3D modelling. Previously I have been lucky to have friends who helped me with making the 3D models I wanted, but I now I got the idea that it really was time to do something about this myself .. So I did, and haven't touch my layout since .. :) 3D modelling really is contagious! Not at all complicated as I first thought, also all the software needed is for free, just download what you fancy. I am using AutoCad 123d designer, but there are several other to choose from. After a while I got questions if I could do this and that model to, and in scale x and scale y, and could I possibly do it also in z scale .. ;)

So here will come a list of my models, which might interest the Gn15 / Hn15 people. The complete list is either on my site at http://Laurell.Today/shop/ or on my shop at ShapeWays https://www.shapeways.com/shops/henrik-laurell-models/

First out is this O&K kit which is all the parts you need to make a little steamer on a HO steam loco, like the MagicTrain or any other.

Available in 1/45, 1/35 and 1/24 scale.

If you fancy one, make sure you selected both scale AND material before you order!

Today I did finish this little freelance battery electric, I call it the

Vikholm Battery Electric

Available in 1/45, 1/35 and 1/24 scale. Any similarity to anything similar is pure coincidence .. :)

Cab is a loose piece, could either be glued on or taken of as a "winter equipment" when weather demands it.

If you fancy one, make sure you select both scale AND material before you order!

1/24 scale if done in WSF becomes affordable. That other plastic is just too expensive in the larger scales.

Yes that is true. But also fud is not so important in 1/24 scale or bigger, since details gets big enough anyway, so it is a double win.
