FLEISCHMANN Rack Lokomotive

Postby chris69 » Sun Oct 05, 2014 10:32 pm

Hi,
Does anyone have an old Fleischmann HO Rack locomotive?
The one I am looking for is the blue and white electric.
I don't care what the body is like as long as the drive is working.
I checked E Bay.... well I need a VW not a Cadillac
My new layout gave me some ideas but without the rack system it will not work.

Thanks for your time guys,
Best
Chris        8)

Not exactly common Chris, have only seen a couple of layouts on the exhibition circuit here with a rack feature.
Loco you want appeared on UK eBay earlier this year - sold for £51.
Needles in haystack come to mind
Certainly Loco you want isn't currently on German eBay.
So little time, so many ideas!!!!! GerryB.

I wanted one for a layout a few years ago and gave up looking. An alternative might be to make a dummy rack and use one of the magnetic systems. Powerbase is a well known one http://www.dccconcepts.com/catalogue/j/ ... -powerbase

They come up on Ebay regularly - this one was in the US http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FLEISCHMANN-H ... 2a4139ea33

Might be worth setting up a search there.

They are even more common on ebay.de but many sellers there do not export or take paypal.
