A Grand Day out?

Postby MOG » Sun Jun 11, 2006 9:19 am

Having been in touch with John Racing Hippo Kennard of late, I was hoping to get up to visit Kirklees a week or two ago...things haven't gone to plan lately..
I was wondering whether it might be worth trying to arrange a Gnotters trip later in the year? (We might be able to persuade John to show us things! )..even better if we could get the Gnortherners to arrange a trip on the same day :D In fact.. why not have a Gnatterbox day?? ..getting carried away sorry..

If we're all up for it, it's probably be best to pick a date well in the future as I know that these things can get complicated to arrange once you try and get more than two people in the same place at the same time

Any thoughts? Interested? When? Solo or with spouses / families.. etc?

Hi Martin, I like it when you get carried away :!: You come up with some good ideas, like a Gnatterbox day out  Apart from supporting your suggestion whole heartedly, I'm not much help with the details since my limitations are less than most, and I am about to retire (from work) so my options will be even wider and will hopefully be able to fall in with arrangements that suit others. As to family, etc., I would come alone as Hettie now has to make use of a wheel chair, but would be very happy to see families present - nothing like starting them on the right track as youngsters  .

Hi Martin, seem to now be an official Gnotter, so thought i'd better have my say on the Kirklees railway invasion...

Yeah!

Count me and Lianne in... always up for a look at the competition, hehehe

By the way, who is John Kennard? Probably spoke to him some time down the line, but you know how rubbish i am with names/faces.
