Yep, you're right. Just like I remember my former railway layouts with nostalgia, I think in the original we had:

FX cut to shot of trees, sound of car brakes
interior, day
lowly LAC explaining that it was an accident.
This time, we'll have:
Exterior, day
CGI of car rounds corner. Driver and passenger are real bit-part actors morphed onto the shot, smiling at the guard as they get their passes out, driver is momentarily distracted and CGI of dog is squelched by CGI of car.

lowly LAC explaining that it was an accident, overlaid with a subtitle stating that no real dogs were hurt in the making of this sequence.
